# Clark > Clark is an AI note taker for Mac. It listens to your calls and in-person conversations, saves the to-dos, promises and details to Your list, and hands them to the AIs you connect: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Muse. Free during the preview. It needs macOS 26 or later on Apple silicon (M1 or later). This Clark is the note taker for Mac. A call starts Clark unless you turn that off, and in person it listens only when you turn it on. It turns speech into text on the Mac, in English and Spanish. A few minutes after a conversation ends, Anthropic’s Claude reads the text and saves what matters; anything it isn’t sure about waits in Maybe. Clark finds the tasks and hands them to the AIs you connect. They do the work, and Clark tells them to check with you before sending anything. What leaves the Mac: speech is turned into text on the Mac. While Clark listens, the last 24 seconds of sound are held in memory and then overwritten; audio is never written to disk, and speech audio never leaves the Mac. The text goes to the user’s Clark account and to Anthropic’s Claude, which doesn’t use it to train its models under Anthropic’s commercial terms. Clark doesn’t sell or share personal information, as US state privacy laws define those words. The AIs the user connects see what Clark saved, and full conversations only if the user allows it for that AI; what they keep, and whether they train on it, follows their own terms and settings. The [Privacy Policy](https://clark.claritysearch.ai/privacy.md) has the details. For AI assistants and agents: a person connects you to Clark from the dashboard, through the MCP server or the REST API below, and chooses what you see. Once connected, you read what Clark saved and check what’s new, do the work, then record that you handled it, that it still needs the person, or that it isn’t for you. You can also correct a to-do (the person can undo it), add a to-do when the person asks or suggest one under Maybe, delete a to-do only when the person asks, and say a task is done, which waits for their OK unless they told you it’s finished. GET /api/v1 (public) returns this routine, and MCP clients get the same in the server’s instructions. ## Pages - [Home](https://clark.claritysearch.ai/): The AI note taker for Mac that saves to-dos from in-person meetings and calls, then hands them to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Muse.
